Great sole. Just wide enough for me and the sole works well on the Lake District Fells really aggressive for kicking into loose material and snow.

The best boots. Bought a pair of these and thought I would have to break them in first. Excellent service and advice from Alex at Keswick boot Co. Went straight out for a 8 mile kike in the lakes. They were so comfortable for the whole trek. Friends were avoiding water as best they could. I was walking in the streams and remained bone dry all day. Best pair of boots I’ve ever worn.

These are an excellent pair of boots. I’ve had them for eight months or so now and apart from falling in a beck heavily on my first trip out am very impressed. My criteria was to have a comfortable fairly stiff boot. I’ve had Meidel Borneos before and although these were comfortable they are not a patch on these. My previous "summer" boot was a Scarpa SL and my winter boot a Reichle Degree 60, the latter being like a pair of sturdy slippers on the fell.
So what is so good about these. Well they give great ankle support, having some well placed lace hooks – three pairs in fact compared to most boots having two sets. The boot is well made with one of the best designed soles that i’ve seen on a mountain boot. Some of the lugs on the sole are pointed forward to assist hill decents, perhaps an idea taken from fell running shoes. They are as i’ve mentioned very comfortable indeed, would i buy them again – most certainly but, they are able to be re-soled.

Great service and advice via the online chat. I needed the wide version and after shopping around the net this was the best deal and help sealed the deal. The turnaround time worked perfectly, so I got them before the bad weather at the beginning of the year set in. These are a replacement pair for some Merrell that fell apart. No looking back. Some of the most comfortable footwear I’ve bought from first wearing. I needed the extra width and while still a bit snug as they break in no complaints, my feet have been warm and dry. I use them for bad weather commuting and weekends / dog walking.
