Worth their weight in gold...I bought these as I was spending a fortnight in Scotland and wanted to do some more serious walking than my usual trots up Skiddaw etc.
Very, very good boots. Good fit, although a little tight around the upper part of the ankle, which did cause some discomfort initially (my own fault; didn't break into them properly). However, two good soakings caused by crossing a rushing river and a fall in a Scottish bog soon resolved that! The grip is much better than I anticipated, so much so I walked up Ben Nevis without any problems, even with two foot of snow on the summit! I watched other people slip on the snow on the descent route; I didn't have any issues whatsoever. Worth every penny!
