The men’s LOWA Explorer GTX Mid is a new high performance lightweight boot designed for trekking and mountain walking.

The new Explorer is the latest member of LOWA’s Trekking boot family and the first to use a new cushioning technology, Litecell PU. Litecell gives the Explorer excellent underfoot cushioned, matched to the stability of a traditional midsole, while still maintaining the lateral support of a trekking boot. The Explorer also features an all new Vibram sole with wide spaced multidirectional lugs. This new sole design makes the Explorer instantly comfortable from new (no breaking in), but it is designed so they can also be re-soled in the future. The upper of the boot has a soft suede with down to the toe lacing, allowing you to taylor the fit to your foot shape precisely. A rubber and TPU toe and heel cap offer scuff and abrasion protection. Finally, the Explorer features a full Gore-Tex lining, keeping your feet dry and comfortable.
This product can be resoled by a specialist (in the UK we recommend Lancashire Sports Repairs). They’re constructed in a way where the upper of the footwear is retained, and a new sole can be added to it.
