Specially developed for mountaineers with bunions – the Makra Pro Low Bunion GTX. A flexible and robust approach shoe that is made for one of the most commonly occurring foot problems. Thanks to the HANWAG Bunion Last it provides additional room around the big toe joint. But what makes a good approach shoe? Multifunctionality is key. The Makra Pro Low Bunion GTX has to cope with different terrain, from hard paths to forest trails and scree slopes. Comfort, stability and flexibility all have an important role to play here. It’s lightweight, yet particularly stable midsole is made of PU and EVA. The oversized PU heel design provides perfect cushioning and the reinforcing PU foam wedge at the heel supports an ideal roll-off. EVA at the forefoot promotes greater precision and our exclusive Vibram ‘Makra’ outsole offers outstanding grip. The optimised ghilly lacing is a distinctive feature of the Makra family – it runs through textile loops right down into the toe area. This ensures a secure fit around the front of the foot, and good overall stability for a mid-cut model. Thanks to the waterproof GORE-TEX membrane, this shoe keeps your feet dry in wet conditions. The Perwanger leather upper is robust, breathable and long-lasting. This combination of high-quality materials delivers reliable performance.
